About the Role
TK Fresh Produce is looking for a motivated and reliable Order Selector to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking, staging, receiving, and preparing orders in a fast-paced produce warehouse environment. You will work in various temperature-controlled areas, including dry, refrigerated, and freezer zones, while operating warehouse equipment and ensuring product quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and receive products accurately and efficiently.
- Locate and select produce items in dry, refrigerated, and freezer pick zones.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and dock stockers.
- Place full pallets into push-back racking systems using safe forklift practices.
- Pick customer orders from staging, stock locations, or transferred inventory.
- Prioritize and process urgent product transfers to meet delivery schedules.
- Assist with product sorting and quality control, identifying acceptable and non-acceptable products.
- Re-palletize and organize product cases as needed.
- Use invoices and picking documents to ensure 100% order accuracy.
- Maintain clean, organized picking and staging areas.
- Follow HACCP, SQF, WHMIS, and OHSA standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve daily warehouse goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience, preferably in a produce or food distribution environment, or order fulfillment environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 55 lbs (25 kg).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Comfortable working in cold storage environments, including refrigerated and freezer areas.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays when required.
