Instructional Designer – Hybrid Role

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to design, develop, and improve learning experiences that are engaging, effective, and aligned with real-world performance goals. This role partners closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to translate complex information into clear, practical learning solutions.
Key Aspects of the Role
Responsibilities
This role calls for strong analytical and instructional design capabilities—you’ll be expected to identify current learning and performance gaps to develop and implement effective training solutions in collaboration with subject matter experts. Your day may consist of:
- Analyze learning and performance needs to determine appropriate training solutions.
- Design and develop instructional materials including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, job aids, and assessments.
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to all learning solutions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to structure and simplify complex content.
- Create storyboards, scripts, and learning objectives aligned with business goals.
- Develop assessments and evaluations to measure learning effectiveness.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting timelines and quality standards.
- Review and revise existing training materials to improve clarity, engagement, and outcomes.
- Deliver and facilitate training sessions, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats, as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience designing and developing instructional materials.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Will undergo criminal background check, sign a non-solicitation agreement, and participate in personality and cognitive ability assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools (i.e Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captive)
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Knowledge of accessibility standards
- Experience in corporate, technical, or compliance-based training environments
- Bilingual (English/French)
