Tutor for Grade 8 Student (South Surrey – In-Home)
We are looking for a reliable, patient, and experienced tutor to provide in-home academic support for a Grade 8 student with high-functioning autism.
This is a part-time position for someone with experience teaching or tutoring middle school students across all core subjects, with particular strength in Math, Science, and Writing.
Details:
- Location: South Surrey
- Schedule: 2 sessions per week
- Duration: 1.5 hours per session
- Pay: $32–$40 per hour, depending on experience
- Payment: Through the BC Autism Funding Program
What we are looking for:
- Experience teaching or tutoring Grade 8 students
- Strong knowledge of all core subjects, especially Math, Science, and Writing
- Experience working with students with high-functioning autism is an asset but not necessary.
- Patient, kind, dependable, and well organized
- Able to provide structured academic support, homework help, and organizational skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working one-on-one in a home setting
