Your Role
The Coordinator, Talent & Culture is responsible for the coordination, administration, and delivery of employee engagement programs, internal communications, and People & Culture operational support activities. This role ensures the seamless execution of engagement initiatives, employee events, recognition programs, and internal communications across the organization. The Coordinator supports onboarding and recruitment logistics and maintains People & Culture documentation and systems. This role plays a key part in delivering a positive employee experience through consistent execution of engagement activities and operational excellence.
Your Impact
Coordinate and execute employee engagement initiatives, programs, and activities- Organize and lead all corporate social events and engagement activities
- Administer the Service Awards program (logistics, coordination, communication)
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Employee Rewards Program
- Coordinate the delivery of wellness and culture initiatives as directed
- Collaborate with departments to support engagement, participation and awareness
- Coordinate distribution of employee engagement and pulse surveys
- Compile survey data inputs and assist in preparing reports
- Track participation rates and maintain survey records
- Manage day-to-day content updates on RRC Connect
- Draft, format, and schedule internal communications
- Support the promotion of engagement initiatives and events through communication channels
- Collaborate with the RRC Connect Committee on content coordination
- Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications
- Support recruitment logistics including job postings and tracking applicants
- Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation (administrative support)
- Ensure onboarding materials are prepared and processes are followed
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation sessions
- Maintain and update HR procedural manuals, templates, and documentation
- Assist with HR audits and compliance-related administrative tasks
- Coordinate uniform distribution and maintain tracking records
- Support maintenance of perks & benefits program information
- Assist with scholarship and internal program administration
- Co Support execution of recruitment events and engagement campaigns
- Coordinate logistics for career fairs, community events, and internal initiatives
- Assist with planning and coordination of cross-departmental initiatives
- Support People & Culture projects as assigned by the Manager or General Manager
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth execution of initiatives
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the People & Culture team
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies
- You will support a culture of psychological safety by helping to foster an environment where employees feel safe to speak up, raise concerns, and share perspectives without fear of reprisal, and by escalating behaviours or practices that may undermine a respectful and inclusive workplace.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Manager, People & Talent Strategy and/or General Manager, People & Organizational Services.
Your Accomplishments
Completion of a two-year post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other relevant field is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2-year experience within a fast-paced HR environment, with exposure to talent management, engagement, and culture-building work.
- Ability to build effective relationships amongst all levels of the organization.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multiple task
- Flexible attitude to work and sensitivity to business requirements.
- Strong customer focus and proven skills in building relationships
- Strong time management, prioritization, multitasking and organizational skills.
- Professionalism, tact, courtesy and diplomacy skills.
- Analytical and problem identification/solving skills.
- Excellent Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel.
- Demonstrates a collaborative, positive and solution oriented approach..

Working Conditions
This position is fulltime requiring 40 hours/week. There may be requirement to work evenings, weekends and holidays based on business needs.- Moderate physical activity is required; for example, the ability to lift items in excess of 40 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently;
- This position requires sitting or standing at a desk for an extended period of time, working for extended periods on a computer, talking on the telephone, standing, walking, kneeling, stooping/bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, pinching, gripping and repetitive motion.
- This position demands frequent use of sensory activities such as talking, seeing, hearing, depth perception and color vision
- Constant, positive interaction with employees, supervisors, patrons and the public is required; and,
- This position involves periods of high mental and/or emotional stress.
This position may require travel between our various facilities within the Wood Buffalo Region.
