Are you an EXPERIENCED Optical Nerd? ....an Optician, Optometric Assistant or have been in the industry for many years? We are looking for you to join our polished team of high level service and expertise. This is for a community minded, reliable, full-time individual. You must be a positive, hardworking and fun soul who wishes to put down some roots and grow with us! You would work out of both of our Oak Bay and Broadmead locations.
*Please note*** We can often support training new or newer to the industry colleagues but at this time, we need to find a very experienced person to join us as we have had a few of our veteran Opticians retire and/or go on maternity leave.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Preparing selection of eye wear for clients and assisting them w/their choice of frames based on prescription, fit and style etc.
- Informing clients of lens choices and guiding them to the best choice for them.
- Adjusting/repairing eye wear.
- Troubleshooting fitting and optical challenges.
- Dispensing eye wear.
- Neutralizing lenses and edging.
-Potentially some pretesting and working the occasional front desk shift.
