- Your duties will include but not limited to the assembly of all mold components from our CNC machining department.
- You will deburr, clean and bench fit 2 and 3 piece tools made of aluminum components.
- You will bed components using hand tools- grinders, hand drills ect. as well as conventional machines-mill & lathe.
-Tools are assembled according to customer standards and our design department drawings which the employee must consult while assembling.
-Seal the mold parting line which can be metal on metal or devcon. Perform bluing seal test or Plastic gauge confirming seal.
-Sandblast tool surfaces or wax to ensure customer-specified surface finish.
-Finish the tool ensuring all holes or imperfections both the molding surfaces and on the seal are patched. Perform all final touch ups on paint and perform self-inspection. Contact supervisor to perform inspection.
-Some machining duties are assigned to skilled employees
-Welding duties are assigned to employees with welding experience and/or training
-Produce and deliver quality products and services on time, every time, right the first time
-Become familiar with The AWC Company Quality Management System, all customer standards, and be prepared to work within all policies and procedures.

Skills and Knowledge
. grade 12 or equivalency education
. drivers license
· use of hand tools
· use of measurement devices
· blueprint reading
. over head crane experience
· metal working experience
. Lathe/ milling/surface grinder experience (bonus)
· forklift operation (bonus)
· welding skills (bonus)
. overtime as required, and paid after 40 hours per week
