Job Summary
Reporting to the PMO Leader and working closely with cross-functional teams, the Senior Project Manager will be instrumental in driving the successful delivery of complex projects across engineering, manufacturing, and service functions. With projects starting at $500K, this role requires oversight at every phase, from initial planning and design to execution, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Beyond core project management responsibilities, the Senior Project Manager will collaborate with senior leadership to optimize processes, encourage innovation, and support the scaling of operations. A key focus will be ensuring that projects align with the company’s mission to deliver sustainable, cutting-edge energy solutions to clients.
This is an on-site position based in Montague, PEI.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the successful deployment of multiple projects across engineering, manufacturing, and service functions, from initiation through to closure, ensuring each phase aligns with strategic objectives and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with business sponsors and internal teams to develop and implement efficient project plans, ensuring alignment with company goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues, providing timely solutions to keep projects on track. Foster open communication and collaboration across teams, promoting a culture of consensus-building and mutual problem-solving.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and external factors, ensuring project timelines and outcomes remain on course.
- Deeply understand customer requirements and expectations to ensure exceptional service delivery, while maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead the creation, tracking, and management of all project management documentation, including project schedules, budgets, and status reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Monitor and control project health by managing schedules and budgets, and tracking key performance metrics.
- Engage with customers to identify mutually beneficial solutions, particularly in complex or challenging technical and commercial situations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project managers and team members, offering guidance and training to foster career growth and enhance project management skills across the organization.
- Champion the continuous improvement of project management practices, methodologies, and tools, driving best practices and enhancing team performance.
- Promote ongoing education in project management methodologies, ensuring consistent application of industry standards and best practices across all projects
Job Qualifications
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple complex projects from start to finish, ensuring successful execution while balancing competing priorities.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally, with stakeholders at all levels, including technical teams, business leaders, and external partners.
- High degree of organizational ability and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate risks and proactively address challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset, capable of motivating teams, fostering teamwork, and building consensus.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. A background in engineering or advanced manufacturing processes is highly preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Experience working with project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, or similar tools). PMI or other relevant project management certification(s) is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, preferably within an engineering, manufacturing, or energy-focused industry.
Logistics
- The Senior Project Manager will be based on-site. Occasional travel to project sites, manufacturing plants, or client locations may be required.

Compensation
AKA Energy Systems is offering the following compensation/benefits for this position:
WAGE RANGE
$90,000-$120,000 annual salary - negotiable based on industry knowledge and experience.
