Black Tie Electric is looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. We would also consider a qualified third- or fourth-year Apprentice Electrician with strong commercial or industrial experience.
We are a small, established electrical company with steady work, low turnover, and a strong team environment. We value quality workmanship, reliability, safety, and people who take pride in doing the job properly.
Our preferred candidate is a Journeyman Electrician who can work independently, communicate clearly, and represent the company professionally on commercial and industrial job sites. However, an experienced third- or fourth-year apprentice who demonstrates strong technical ability, sound judgment, initiative, and a commitment to completing their apprenticeship is encouraged to apply.

What We Are Looking For
- Alberta Journeyman Electrician certification preferred
- Qualified third- or fourth-year Apprentice Electricians will also be considered
- Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
- Ability to complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision appropriate to the candidate’s experience and apprenticeship level
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong focus on safety, quality, reliability, and productivity
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly enough to understand work orders, safety documentation, drawings, labels, and instructions, and to communicate effectively on active job sites
Strong Assets
- Service work and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with controls, conveyors, automation, or motor controls
- Fall Protection certification
- First Aid certification
Work Location
Calgary and the surrounding area.
