Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window and Door Installer to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and restoring windows and doors across residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various hand tools, construction techniques, and blueprint reading to ensure precise and efficient installations. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the enhancement of building aesthetics and functionality.
Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare openings for window and door installation according to schematics and blueprints
- Use hand tools such as drills, saws, levels, and caulking guns to install windows and doors securely
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate placement
- Remove old or damaged windows and doors during restoration or renovation projects
- Apply caulking to ensure weatherproofing and energy efficiency
- Perform related tasks such as construction painting, plumbing adjustments, or flooring installation as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety standards are maintained throughout all phases of installation
- Conduct quality checks to confirm proper fit, finish, and operation of installed units
Requirements
- Proven experience with hand tools, carpentry, or construction work involving window and door installation
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for precise project execution
- Familiarity with caulking, restoration techniques, construction painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, and tile laying is a plus
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights or in confined spaces as required
- Valid driver’s license preferred for site travel purposes
- Prior experience in construction or carpentry is highly desirable
