What you’ll get to do

Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with mechanical and controls engineering experts, as well as skilled trades professionals, throughout the programming, tryout, and installation phases of projects.

PLC Programming and Debugging: Support PLC logic and programming tasks during the build and debug stages at our facilities and at customer sites during installation and launch phases.

Enhance Control Systems: Assist/implement programming updates and improvements based on customer requirements.

Smart Device Integration: Configure and integrate smart devices such as cameras, sensors, nut runners, and drives into automated systems.

System Validation: Perform I/O checks, troubleshoot system issues, and support tryouts and validation of system functionality.

Data Management: Assist with collecting and monitoring machine data based on project needs.

Documentation: Document control logic, updates, and system changes in collaboration with the engineering team.

Customer Support: Participate in on-site support, commissioning, and, assist with end-user training.

Travel Support: Travel locally and internationally to customer sites to provide on-site assistance, ensuring successful project execution.
What we are looking for

Experience:
-
Junior: 0–2 years (including co-op/internship experience)

Intermediate: 2–5 years in industrial automation or PLC programming

Education: Completed College or university program in Electrical Engineering/Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or Robotic Studies.

Flexibility: Ability to adapt work hours to accommodate customer production timelines when necessary.

Technical Skills: Exposure to or experience with PLC platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, or Omron; familiarity with automated systems and integration is an asset.

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Travel to the USA will be required.

Travel Readiness: Flexibility to travel to customer sites, including international locations.

The expected hourly compensation for this position is $26.00 – $38.00. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, or location.
