Blue Mountain Fruit Company is seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our team!
This position is full time seasonal, starting in September with an estimated end date of summer 2027, depending on crop availability. The ideal candidate will be able to work a 7:30am-5:30pm shift, with additional hours as needed.
Responsibilities
- Moving, scanning, and stacking bins of apples in/out of storage as required
- Moving and scanning pallets of packed product
- Loading/unloading tractor trailers and flatbed trucks
- Operating palletizing equipment
- Lifting pallets of packed product into storage racking
- Troubleshooting equipment
- Lifting CHEP pallets into place
- Moving pallets of packaging as required
Needed Abilities
- Minimum 3 years experience operating a forklift (propane or electric)
- Ability to lift at least 35kg
- Mechanically inclined
- Interactive communication
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Positive approach to problem solving
- Ability to shift between tasks quickly and efficiently
Conditions of Employment
- Valid G license
- Valid forklift training certificate (preferred)
- Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain necessary certifications
- Reliable transportation to/from work
