Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Woman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, welding, and construction processes. This role involves performing complex maintenance, repairs, and installations across various industrial and manufacturing settings. The Journeyman/Woman will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and adherence to technical specifications through expert craftsmanship and problem-solving abilities.
Duties
- Execute MIG, TIG welding, and general welding tasks to fabricate or repair metal components according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation and maintenance activities.
- Perform HVAC system maintenance, including troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.
- Conduct plumbing work as needed, including pipe fitting and system repairs.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other precision measurement instruments to ensure accurate work.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
- Assist with rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy machinery or structural components.
- Follow safety protocols during all operations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members on projects involving manufacturing or construction tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used for each project.
Skills
- Proven expertise in MIG welding, TIG welding, and general welding techniques.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, and other precision measurement devices.
- Experience in rigging, manufacturing processes, or construction environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during installation or repair work.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to welding, construction, and industrial maintenance practices.
