Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor - HCA to lead and oversee daily operations within our senior care facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in assisted living, nursing home environments, or senior care, with proven leadership and supervisory skills. This role is vital in ensuring the delivery of compassionate, high-quality care to residents while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. The Supervisor - HCA will play a key role in fostering a supportive team environment, managing staff schedules, and ensuring resident safety and well-being.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of caregiving staff, ensuring adherence to care plans and facility policies
- Oversee medication administration in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility protocols
- Assist with resident assessments and develop individualized care plans focusing on dementia and senior care needs
- Manage staffing schedules, monitor staff performance, and provide training or coaching as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including infection control procedures
- Support residents’ emotional and physical well-being through compassionate supervision and engagement
- Assist with budgeting responsibilities related to staffing, supplies, and resident care needs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate resident services and monitor care quality
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident records, incident reports, and regulatory compliance
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings, with a focus on senior or dementia care
- Strong supervisory and leadership abilities to motivate and guide caregiving teams
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and healthcare regulations
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers
- Ability to manage budgets related to staffing, supplies, and resident services
- Compassionate approach to senior care with a focus on dignity and respect for residents’ independence
- Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and patience
- Prior experience supervising staff in healthcare or senior care environments is highly desirable
