OVERVIEW:
Advance your career as a Full-time Branch Operations Manager, where you'll take the reins in steering our operational functions towards excellence. From training and developing the operations team members to meticulously managing branch assets, your role is pivotal in achieving both short-term and long-term company goals. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing all operational functions such as managing branch assets, coordinating efficient scheduling of inventory management tasks and deliveries, quoting and purchasing product and implementing new processes to improve efficiency. This position is for our branch located at 178-815 66th St E, Saskatoon, SK S7P 0E6.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Maintaining and controlling branch assets; specifically Accounts Receivables, Inventory and Fleet
o Developing and training the operations team to achieve optimal business results as well as personal goals
o Sourcing, quoting and purchasing new and existing products
o Receiving, inspecting, scanning, packing and shipping product
o Participating in continuous improvement activities and implementing new business processes
o Supporting operations and customer service activities
o Coordinating and supporting deliveries for the branch utilizing a company vehicle
o Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o 18 years of age or older
o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
o Possess at least 1 year of Fastenal work experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient computer skills
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Prior leadership experience and product knowledge
o Possess experience in inventory management, logistics, operations or quoting/purchasing product
