Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Tire Technician / Mechanic to join our service team. This position is responsible for performing tire-related services and general mechanical work, including inspections, repairs, and replacements on a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, repair, mount, and balance tires on cars, trucks, and other vehicles
- Rotate tires and check air pressure and tread depth
- Patch or plug tires as needed
- Perform alignments and basic suspension work (if trained)
- Conduct vehicle inspections and document findings
- Assist with oil changes, brake services, battery replacement, and other light mechanical repairs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Use appropriate tools, safety equipment, and procedures
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Follow company policies and adhere to safety regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a tire tech or auto mechanic preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and tire specifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- ASE certification a plus but not required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and customer service skills
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced shop environment
- Indoor and outdoor work (weather exposure)
- Use of heavy equipment and tools
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.75-$25.00 per hour
