We are an established developer looking for an experienced Construction Manager in Saskatoon, who will report to ownership, and be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
- Work with ownership to determine the viability of new projects.
- Build and manage project budgets, schedules, and key deadlines.
- Work with designers, consultants, and internal teams to keep drawings, plans and construction moving forward.
- Review scopes, gather pricing and quotes, and help to decide which trades and consultants to use.
- Coordinate trades, site crews, site meetings, RFI’s, change orders and invoicing.
- Oversee site progress and troubleshoot day to day construction issues.
- Manage and support site superintendents, supervisors, foremen, project managers, and other construction staff.
- Make sure safety rules, quality standards, and company expectations are met.
- Keep materials, purchase orders, contracts, RFQ’s, and project paperwork organized. Help solve problems, keep people communicating, find cost savings, and move projects through goal posts.
The right candidate will have the following
- Have experience in commercial and residential construction.
- Proven ability to manage site teams, consultants and project staff.
- Comfort communicating and dealing with ownership, consultants and trades.
- A valid driver’s license.
