CNC Operator — All Experience LevelsPosition Summary
We are seeking CNC Operators to join our Tool & Mold team. The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components used in injection molds. This role requires experience with CNC machining, CAM software, and machining strategies while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safety throughout the manufacturing process.
WorkNC experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and other CNC equipment to manufacture precision mold components.
- Program and prepare jobs using WorkNC CAM software.
- Create workzones and utilize WorkNC clamping and tooling libraries to optimize machining operations.
- Apply proper machining strategies for roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing while maintaining tight tolerances.
- Machine mold plates, components, cores, and cavities according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Select and use the appropriate cutting tools in both standard and metric sizes.
- Perform drilling operations using a variety of tooling including twist drills, carbide drills, spade drills, and other specialty drills.
- Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions.
- Load and unload materials and monitor machine performance throughout production.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Identify and report tooling wear, machine issues, or quality concerns.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Accurately record completed work and production information.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work closely with programmers, supervisors, and fellow team members to meet production schedules.
Qualifications
- Previous CNC machining experience is required.
- WorkNC CAM software experience is required.
- Strong understanding of CAM software, machining strategies, and CNC manufacturing processes.
- Experience machining mold plates, components, cores, and cavities to tight tolerances.
- Knowledge of roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing toolpaths.
- Experience creating WorkNC workzones and using clamping and tooling libraries.
- Solid understanding of cutting tools, including standard and metric tooling.
- Experience with multiple drilling methods, including twist drills, carbide drills, and spade drills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and setup documentation.
- Proficient with precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
