We are currently seeking a part-time pharmacist (1-2 days per week) who shares our passion for community health and values meaningful patient connections. If you are looking to practice in a welcoming, team-oriented setting where your expertise makes a real impact, we would love to hear from you.
Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist will be responsible for leading the operations of the pharmacy while on duty. This includes consulting with customers and health care providers, providing professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting in the growth and maintenance of the dispensary.
TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient Care and Customer Service
- Provide exceptional pharmacy and customer service by ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and timely preparation, dispense and control of medications to patients.
- Consult patients on new and additional medications in a positive and proactive manner.
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor requests/issues
- Coach and collaborate with team members to grow and maintain team performance.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives and manage documentation.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and enforce standard operating procedures.
- Practice within federal/provincial, regulatory/legal requirements, including privacy and confidentiality requirements, and consent management.
- Maintain all records required in accordance with legislation, standards of practice, and policy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with other healthcare providers, clinics, and pharmacies as required to support patient needs.
Pharmacy Operations
- Manage the dispensary with respect to inventory and patient confidentiality.
- Oversight over current stock levels, expired inventory, and medication orders from wholesaler.
- Ensure medication and over the counter supplements inventory levels is adequate to meet patients’ needs.
- Ensure all requirements for documentation and control of substances under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Regulations are met as well as reporting to Health Canada and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation using pharmacy management systems.
- Contribute proactively to strategic projects that enhance operational efficiency, clinical outcomes, pharmacy growth and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure dispensing operations and patient flow (e.g. workstations, waiting areas, and offices) are in alignment with brand image of the pharmacy.
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed to provide a healthy and safe work environment
- Support management in reporting requirements as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc. Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Valid Part A Pharmacist License (Ontario) with 2-3 years of related experience.
- Strong clinical knowledge with an ability to think, plan, and make decisions independently when dealing with issues or problems; maintains professionalism and customer-focus at all time.
- Superior customer relations, problem solving, and problem resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite). Proficiency in at least one pharmacy system (Fillware, Kroll, etc.) and inventory management system is a strong asset.
- Adaptable to various processes, systems, and technology, and enthusiastic about contributing to community outreach and pharmacy growth.
- Proven ability to build a pharmacy and/or business using various marketing strategies.

Pay: $50.00-$52.00 per hour
