About Us:
We are a well-established property management company in Winnipeg, overseeing approximately 150 buildings. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Roofing Technician to handle ongoing roof inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs across our commercial and residential property portfolio.
This is a critical role focused on proactive care, property protection, and post-storm assessments. If have extensive hands-on roofing experience, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine Inspections: Conduct thorough, scheduled roof inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential water entry points.
- Preventative Maintenance: Clear debris, clean scuppers, drains, and gutters to ensure proper water mitigation.
- Post-Storm Assessments: Perform targeted inspections following major weather events to assess and document any wind or hail damage.
- Minor/Light Repairs: Execute minor repairs on various roof types to prevent leaks before major projects are required.
- Reporting: Document findings and provide clear, basic feedback to the operations team regarding roof conditions and required repairs.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on roofing experience is required.
- Skills: Strong understanding of different roofing systems, water flow patterns, risk mitigation, and leak detection.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently across multiple sites.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between properties.
