Overview
We are a busy dry cleaning business looking for a part time skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Take precise measurements, perform fittings, and adjust garments (e.g., hemming pants, taking in seams, or adjusting dress lengths) to fit clients perfectly.
- Mend tears, stitch loose seams, and replace faulty zippers, buttons, or hooks.
- Ensure high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Clean, oil, and troubleshoot industrial or domestic sewing machines to ensure they are in safe, working order.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and address their needs
- Proficiency in various sewing techniques and use of various sewing machines (single stitch, double stitches, serger, blind stitch)
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work fast, independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adapt to different projects and customer requests
This role is perfect for someone passionate about sewing who enjoys working in a creative environment while providing excellent customer service.
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
