Assist with recruitment initiatives for field services staff including placing calls to the union hall

Responsible for tracking of Apprenticeship hours and related inquiries

Responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring process of sponsorship candidates, ensuring all qualification criteria is met.

Any onboarding requirements related to field recruitment.

Provide general information, support and assistance to employees internally and externally over the phone, electronically and in person.

Coordinate and track Health and Safety training and administration for sites.

Monitor training records and regularly identify training gaps; action required training with approval.

Provide support for project sites related to H&S inquiries and documentation requests
-
Prepare H&S documentation and programs for new projects.
-
Provide general information, support and assistance to employees internally and externally over the phone, electronically and in person.

Provide monthly update report to HR team on all field related data (site safety, training, claim’s management, etc.)

Recommend, develop and maintain human resource databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.

All other duties as assigned in order to meet department and corporate objectives.

Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in related field. CHRP designation in progress an asset

1-3 years Experience in unionized construction and/or industrial services
-
Experience in a COR certified environment is considered an asset
-
Understanding and knowledge of all Federal, Provincial Employment Standards, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Human Rights Code, WCB, etc.,

Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and handle large workloads

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills

Ability to generate reports and coordinate administration

Proven success in a fast-paced environment

Self-starter who proactively takes initiatives on tasks and is willing to learn

Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to navigate well in ambiguity

Proficient understanding/knowledge and use of Word/Excel and Business-related operations software

Ability to process raw data/information from multiple sources and make decisions based on this data

Ability to think critically and problem solve, excellent organizational skills and good judgment in making decisions

Ability to work in a team environment or to work independently with strong self-management.

Some travel may be required to sites within the GTA
