Role Description
We’re seeking a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. You will be the first point of contact for prospective business customers, responsible for generating qualified leads, building strong client relationships, and supporting sales opportunities that drive long-term business growth.
Responsibilities
- Prospect & Qualify Leads - Identify potential clients through cold calling, business doorknocking, networking events, referrals, and database research.
- Client Engagement & Needs Assessment - Build rapport with prospective customers; understand their fleet requirements - from lease and purchase options to upfitting, service, and rental solutions.
- Sales Pipeline Development - Manage and grow the sales pipeline using Salesforce, accurately track engagement, and forecast opportunities.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams - Work closely with internal Sales Specialists, Operations, and Service teams to ensure seamless customer experience and solution delivery.
- Outbound Sales Activities - Schedule and conduct on-site or virtual meetings, deliver persuasive sales presentations, and support contract negotiations.
- Market Intelligence - Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to position Paradigm Fleet Services as the preferred fleet partner.
Qualifications Required
- Secondary School education.
- 5+ years of experience in an external business development/sales role.
- Proficiency in use of Salesforce or other CRM, Excel, Google, Sheets, etc.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively while in office or on the road.
- A relentless drive to uncover and close sales opportunities.
Preferred
- Post-secondary degree, preferably in business or related industry field
- Experience and success in external business development within the Automotive Industry.
- OMVIC licensed
