Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and applying protective and decorative coatings to various industrial equipment and structures. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. The Industrial Painter plays a critical part in ensuring the durability and quality of our products, contributing to overall manufacturing excellence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Apply primers, paints, and coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other hand tools
- Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts to safely package finished product for shipping
- Perform surface inspections for defects or inconsistencies before painting
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all safety protocols are followed during painting operations
- Assist with assembly or machining tasks as needed to support production processes
- Utilize power tools and hand tools efficiently for surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and minimize waste
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in handling hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment
- Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, machining, welding, and assembly techniques
- Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations related to coating applications
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and quality standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and attention to detail for precise application of coatings and adherence to safety guidelines
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44.0 per week
