Summary
We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team in Petersburg! This role is vital in ensuring the successful planning and execution of our landscape projects from start to finish. The Project Coordinator will support our mission of delivering high-quality landscapes that enhance communities and environments.
This is a newly created position driven by our continued growth.
Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support Construction & Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and administration of landscape construction projects.
- Complete project startup activities, including preparing and submitting required documentation, requesting utility locates, coordinating shop drawing submissions, and assisting with project scheduling.
- Review project drawings and specifications to prepare quantity takeoffs and support project planning.
- Complete full material takeoffs and assist with project estimating as required.
- Prepare job packages and project documentation for field crews.
- Assist with the procurement of materials and subcontracted services, including preparing purchase orders and coordinating deliveries.
- Order plants, drainage products, and other hardscape project materials to support project schedules.
- Assist with contract billing by preparing progress invoices and summarizing Time & Material (T&M) work.
- Review field crew hours to support accurate payroll processing.
- Visit project sites to complete measurements, gather project information, and support Project Managers as required.
- Maintain accurate project records and update project management software (Monday.com) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Comply with all company Health & Safety policies, procedures, training, and reporting requirements.
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned by your manager.
Skills & Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in landscape construction, excavating or a related industry in considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret Landscape and Structural blueprints and specification documents.
- Basic understanding of landscape processing, including both hardscape and softscape elements
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work on multiple projects at a time
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Solution oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel & Word
