About the Role
Westman Lumber Supply Ltd. is seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Associate to join our team. This role focuses on day-to-day sales.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in building materials sales is considered an asset.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, while also contributing positively as part of a team.
- Adaptable and flexible, with a willingness to learn new products, processes, and responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude.
Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries, recommendations, and purchases.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare quotes for customers and follow up on pricing and product availability as required.
- Order materials and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely product availability.
- Maintain product knowledge to effectively support customer needs and identify sales opportunities.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including scheduled Saturday shifts.
- Support inventory management and general showroom or sales floor organization
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive customer experience and smooth daily operations.
