Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Parts Person to join our team. This role involves managing inventory, sourcing parts, and providing exceptional customer service within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in dealership operations, procurement, or supply chain management, along with mechanical knowledge and familiarity with ERP systems. The Parts Person will play a critical role in ensuring the timely availability of parts to support manufacturing, service, and repair operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and regular stock audits.
- Source and procure parts efficiently using sourcing strategies, negotiation skills, and procurement experience.
- Assist customers and internal teams by providing knowledgeable support regarding parts availability and specifications.
- Manage purchasing activities, including order placement and follow-up to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to optimize supply chain processes and sourcing options.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely when handling parts or supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous dealership experience or background in automotive or industrial parts management preferred.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for inventory tracking and record keeping.
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain management, or sourcing roles.
- Excellent customer service skills to assist internal teams and external clients effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing, heavy construction industry or general machinery is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
