Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient comfort, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent patient service. Prior experience with dental software such as ABELDent, is highly advantageous. The position is part-time (Monday, Tuesday and Friday - no evenings) and includes comprehensive training to enhance your skills in dental assisting. New Grads are welcome.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring sterilization protocols are followed
- Take dental radiographs
- Manage patient records accurately using ABELDent
- Provide patient education
- Ensure patient comfort and address concerns throughout their visit
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment
Qualifications
- Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current Alberta certification
