The Assistant Front Office Manager at Post Hotel & Spa works closely with the Front Office Manager to ensure exceptional guest experiences from arrival through departure. This role supervises front office operations, assists with staff management, and maintains The Post's high standards of service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities

Support the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front desk operations, guest services, reservations, concierge services, and bell staff

Assist in scheduling, training, and supervising front office staff

Handle guest concerns promptly and effectively to ensure high satisfaction levels

Process check-ins/check-outs, reservations, and manage the property management system

Balance daily transactions and prepare financial reports

Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest needs

Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for the front office

Assist in inventory management of front office supplies

Participate in management meetings and contribute to improving front office operations

Cover front desk shifts as needed

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security protocols
Qualifications
-
2+ years of experience in hotel front desk operations, preferably in a luxury property
-
Previous supervisory experience in hospitality preferred
-
Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field (asset)

Strong knowledge of property management systems and Microsoft Office
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of the Lake Louise area and local attractions (asset)
