Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by preparing patients, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient office environment. Education
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Duties
- Prepare patients for dental examinations
- Prepare dental instruments and filling materials
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
- Educate patients concerning oral hygiene
- Perform intra-oral duties
- Take and develop X-rays
- Record dental procedures performed on patients
- Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts
CredentialsCertificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- Registration with provincial or territorial authorities
- Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board
