Warehouse Associate – Calgary, AB
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, positive, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our Calgary team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of our warehouse by receiving, organizing, picking, and shipping products efficiently and accurately.
The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to being reliable and dependable. In addition to warehouse responsibilities, this position requires making local deliveries and pickups as needed. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be comfortable towing and maneuvering a small trailer.
We are also looking for someone who is comfortable using computers and technology, as many of our daily processes rely on inventory management and warehouse software systems.
Duties
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and other material-handling equipment, safely and efficiently.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring products are accounted for and properly documented.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
- Complete local deliveries and pickups as required.
- Safely tow and maneuver a small trailer when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other computer-based systems to track inventory, process orders, and manage stock locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Work closely with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving company vehicles and towing a small trailer.
- Previous warehouse, order picking, shipping/receiving, or related experience is preferred.
- Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Comfortable using computers, scanners, tablets, and warehouse management software.
- Basic Microsoft Office and data-entry skills are an asset.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Forklift certification is an asset but not required.
