Lifeguard – Event & Private Aquatics Staff (July—Sep 2026)
CNE Swim – Kelowna, BC
CNE Swim is currently hiring certified lifeguards for multiple private events, school beach days, and aquatic activities throughout the Kelowna and Lake Country area during Kelowna summer and into the fall. We are looking to hire ASAP.
This is a flexible, event-based position that is ideal for individuals looking for summer work with competitive pay and a positive working environment.
Job Duties:
- Supervise swimmers in pool and open water environments
- Ensure participant safety at all times
- Monitor swimmer-to-lifeguard ratios and water conditions
- Respond appropriately to emergencies if required
- Assist with setting up and overseeing beach day/swim event activities
- Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and event organizers
- Enforce safety rules and maintain a safe aquatic environment
Events may include:
- School beach days
- Private swim events
- Children’s aquatic activities
- Open water supervision
- Pool supervision during lessons or events
Requirements:
- Current National Lifeguard (NL) Certification
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C
- Must be legally eligible to work in BC
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Comfortable working independently
- Reliable transportation preferred
