IWC Excavation Ltd is a specialized Civil and General Contractor based out of Nanaimo, BC. We are motivated by leading with a culture of excellence, safety, quality, and teamwork.
Currently we are looking to add experienced Site Superintendent / Foreman to our team for work on our central-Island based projects.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and supervising all construction activities.
- Daily communication with subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensuring quality and accuracy of work performed
- Identifying potential cost savings and streamlined field methodologies.
- Ensuring project deliverables adhere to the drawings and specifications.
- Maintaining documentation as per site specific system..
- Maintaining construction schedule of project.
- Tracking costs associated with the work, review with project budget.
- Heavy Job entry, daily diary entry
- All aspects of safety on site including documentation and enforcement
Requirements:
- 5+ experience in civil construction projects
- Previous field experience in infrastructure projects including Water, Sanitary, Sewer, Road Building, etc.
- Proficient using construction management software including HeavyJob, Salus, digital time tracking, safety documentation, and mobile field technology systems.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and blueprints
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Positive, safety orientated attitude
