Position Scope:
Tizzco's is seeking Journeyperson Welder (1) to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area.
This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest welding support contractors in the region.
For this role, Tizzco's offers a base rate of $55.00/hour, with a night shift and daily travel uplift.
Where You’ll Be Working
- Site: Suncor base mine
- Schedule: 14 x 7 (days/nights) 12 hour shifts (paid 11.5 hrs)
- Accommodations: In town suite
- Work Duration: 6 months +
- Start date:
- Transportation: Crew truck provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shifts)
- Overtime: Provided after 8 hours in a day and after 44 hours.

What You'll Be Doing?
- Complete repairs on mining equipment, including Haul Trucks, Excavators, Shovels, and Dozers (CAT/Hitachi/Komatsu).
- Develop a work scope.
- Fabricate from blueprints.
- Complete reports and fill out work orders when required.
- Follow codes of practice and safety procedures.
What Makes You the ONE?
- Red Seal/Alberta Journeyperson Welder with min 3 years of heavy equipment repair experience (preferably large Trucks/Dozers/Shovels/Excavators).
- Experience with mobile equipment repairs, ice lugging, lancing, and gouging.
- Trained and experienced with Stick, MIG and large wire-feed welders, radiograph, Cooper-heat, Plasma cutter, Lance, overhead crane, etc…
- Ability to work outside.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal .
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Willingness to learn.
- Show leadership skills.

- Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:
