Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Representative for Automotive Parts to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, with a background in automotive sales or dealership experience. This role involves engaging with customers, managing sales transactions, and providing expert advice on automotive parts to ensure customer satisfaction and drive sales growth. Familiarity with retail sales tools such as POS systems are highly valued. The Sales Representative will play a key role in maintaining excellent customer relationships and supporting the overall success of our automotive parts department.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate automotive parts based on their needs and vehicle specifications
- Promote additional products or services through effective marketing strategies and upselling techniques
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve overall store performance
- Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring all products are properly displayed and accessible
- Source and order automotive parts through authorized suppliers.
- Process returns, warranties and castings as required.
- Test and fill batteries, test starters and alternators.
- Ensure that retail tasks are executed efficiently (e.g., stocking, labels, facing, clean area etc.).
- Perform hole checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dealership or retail automotive parts sales preferred
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and negotiation abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems, Microsoft Excel, order fulfillment processes, and basic math skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and customer records
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Customer service orientation with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and relationship building
