We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and friendly Dental Administrator to join our growing dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys creating exceptional patient experiences while keeping a busy practice running efficiently. This is a full time position working 36 hours per week. We can be slightly flexible in the exact hours for the right candidate. No evenings past 6PM and no weekends.
The ideal candidate is welcoming, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, coordinating daily administrative operations, supporting the clinical team, and ensuring every patient feels valued from the moment they walk through our doors. You are equally comfortable working collaboratively with a team or independently, demonstrating initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and rescheduling to maximize daily efficiency.
- Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional first impression.
- Handle patient check-in and check-out, ensuring accurate entry of information into electronic dental records.
- Maintain and update patient files, including treatment plans, insurance information, and billing details.
- Process payments and assist patients with financial arrangements when required.
- Coordinate communication between patients, dentists, hygienists, and specialists.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and address patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Assist in maintaining an organized, efficient, and positive front office environment.
- Support the clinical team with administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a dental office.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software and electronic dental records.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A positive, professional, and compassionate attitude.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain calm in a busy environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
