Yama Vans is Calgary's leading adventure van manufacturer. We're looking for someone to join our production team in this entry level woodworking/cabinetmaking role.
This is a hands on role where you'll be measuring, cutting, sanding, finishing wood and other materials to support the front end of many of our production processes. You don't have to be a journeyperson, but you do need to be confident with the basics: routers, drills, sanders, and saws. If you’ve worked in a woodworking shop, or been a serious hobbyist, this could be the right fit.
Responsibilities
- Cut, sand, and label wood and panel materials
- Finish and upholster wooden panels
- Glue up jigs and templates
- Help with general prep tasks to keep production flowing smoothly
Requirements
- Experience using woodworking tools (professional shop, trade school, or serious hobbyist background)
- Comfortable with routers, sanders, drills, saws, and similar hand/power tools
- Attention to detail and accuracy - you care about clean, precise work
- Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and cut lists
How to apply
Please email your resume along with detailed responses to the following questions to [email protected]
- Why are you interested in working at Yama Vans?
- Please describe your relevant work experience.
- If you had to pick one thing that you’re best at, what would it be?
- What else would you like us to know as we consider your application?
We’re a small team that values quality, consistency, and a positive attitude. If you’re excited by what we do and feel this role is a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!
