Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients
- Ensure patient comfort and address their concerns throughout appointments
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, checking in patients, and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment at all times
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software such as Maxident is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and infection control standards
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience or training in dental assisting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
