Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. We are looking to add an experienced Journeyman or 3rd/4th year apprentice who is able to work independently as well as with others. Class 1 or 3 considered an asset. CVIP license also considered an asset. Wage will be discussed at interview.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Weld, replace parts, and perform mechanical adjustments as needed.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and logs to track repairs and service history.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards during all maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various systems found on trucks and trailers.
- Ability to analyze complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Good communication skills for effective documentation and teamwork.
- Experience working with manufacturing equipment or heavy machinery is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
