About the Position
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our busy primary care clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and provide exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Triage patient calls and communicate appropriately with the physician.
- Schedule and book patient appointments.
- Manage incoming and outgoing faxes.
- Coordinate and manage patient referrals.
- Perform medical billing and administrative duties.
- Record patient vital signs as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Provide professional, compassionate customer service to patients in person and over the phone.
- Work collaboratively with the physician and healthcare team to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Order medical supplies and vaccines
Qualifications
- Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience working in a primary care or family medicine clinic is an asset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bonus Qualifications
- Injection administration training/certification.
- Experience assisting with clinical procedures.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- No evenings or weekends
