St. George's Golf & Country Club is looking for a Part Time / Full Time Chef de Partie and a Part Time/ Full Time Banquet Cook who shares our passion for food and cooking and is willing to learn from and contribute to our culinary team.
Job Requirements:
We are looking for individuals who is passionate about food. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are required in this position. The part time cook works together with other team members on a daily basis to ensure a flawlessly executed final product. The ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and Sous Chefs is required. He/she must possess strong communication skills and have the ability to work within a team environment, in addition to being trained and certified in safe food handling. Proficient knife skills are also required. The position also requires continuous standing for up to 8 hours per shift and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. All applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any task.
Additional Skills & Abilities preferred
- Assists Chef in the preparation of all food items for the Formal Dining Room, Patios and Catering outlets
- Prepare food and perform hot line service in a busy upscale private club kitchen
- Operates all kitchen equipment with safety in mind at all times
- Keeps work area clean and assists with executing all cleaning schedules the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef
- Stores, prepares and serves food concurrent to Provisional Health and Safety Standards
- Maintains a well groomed appearance and good personal hygiene
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
- At minimum 2 years previous Kitchen/Cook experience in a fast paced Restaurant and/or Banquet operations
