Function: Implements the Program Statement for Centrepointe Childcare Services in consultation with using How Does Learning Happen? as a guide;
Identifies and selects home childcare providers by conducting home visits;
Performs administrative functions; follow-ups with potential clients;
Conducts visits to provider homes to monitor program and facilities;
Hours: 35 hours per week, to be worked from Monday to Friday.
Reporting to: Home-based Childcare Director
Start Date: TBD: potential August 1, 2026
Rate of Pay: $65,400-$74,600
Commensurate with experience less statutory and other deductions
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Early Childhood Educator with the College of E.C.E
- 3 years’ experience working with children from 0 to 12 years
- Experience in a Licensed Home based childcare program
- Current Police records check for work with the vulnerable sector;
- Valid Standard 1st Aid and Level C CPR certificate;
- Up-to-date record of immunizations
- Valid Driver’s license and personal vehicle
- English (and other language preferred)
- Computer literate (email, CRAW, excel)
Qualifications:
- Ability to use professional judgment on a daily basis within the policies and guidelines established by the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 and by Centrepointe Childcare Services;
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment;
- Responsible for administrative duties as assigned by your case load;
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with children, parents and providers
- Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 and How Does Learning Happen?
- Ability to manage own schedule with minimum supervision
