Job Title: 2nd to 4th Year Apprentice or JM Machinist
Job Location: Red Deer, AB
Schedule: Night Shift (Monday to Thursday, 4:30 PM – 2:30 AM)
Our client is seeking a 2nd to 4th Year Apprentice or JM Machinist to support precision machining operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
What's the Job?
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining processes
- Perform manual lathe and manual mill operations accurately
- Read Mazatrol programs and make simple edits as required
- Interpret Fanuc programs and perform edits using Cimco software
- Conduct daily maintenance on machining equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards
- Follow all shop safety procedures and operational guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
What's Needed?
- 2nd to 4th year apprenticeship or Journeyman Machinist certification
- Experience with CNC machine setup and operation
- Familiarity with Mazatrol and Fanuc programming
- Experience using Cimco software or similar editing tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Preference given to candidates with CNC milling experience
