The Role
As our Stress & Holter Specialist, you will play a vital role in patient diagnostics. You will be responsible for administering exercise stress tests, conducting Holter monitor hookups, and performing expert-level Holter scanning and analysis using NorthEast Monitoring HE/LX® software to support our cardiologists in providing accurate, timely patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Stress Testing: Perform standardized exercise stress testing; monitor patient vitals and rhythm strips; recognize arrhythmias or symptoms and respond according to clinical protocols.
- Holter Monitoring: Apply Holter monitors and provide clear instructions to patients for their monitoring period.
- Holter Scanning & Analysis: Utilize HE/LX® Analysis software to independently perform high-quality scanning, beat classification, and arrhythmia identification. Prepare comprehensive, high-quality technical summaries for physician review.
- Patient Care: Educate patients on testing procedures to ensure comfort and compliance; maintain a professional and supportive environment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality data capture (artifact reduction), troubleshoot equipment, and adhere to strict privacy and clinical standards.
- Collaboration: Work effectively within the clinical team to ensure efficient workflow and diagnostic output.
Qualifications
- Certification: IMG or Graduate of a recognized Cardiovascular Technology program; CSCT (Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists) certification is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Strongly preferred: Experience with NorthEast Monitoring HE/LX® Analysis software and associated hardware. Candidates capable of independent scanning and reporting will be prioritized.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum [X] years of clinical experience in non-invasive cardiac testing.
- Skills: Advanced rhythm interpretation and arrhythmia identification skills.
- Professionalism: Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Compliance: Valid CPR/BLS certification; demonstrated knowledge of patient privacy and confidentiality.
