About Us
Urgiles Brothers Excavating Inc. is a growing heavy civil contractor specializing in earthworks, excavation, underground servicing, roadworks, and infrastructure construction throughout the GTA.
We are seeking an experienced Site Coordinator to join our team and support the successful delivery of our projects. This is a primarily site-based role and is best suited for someone with previous heavy civil construction experience who understands how construction sites operate and can effectively coordinate day-to-day project activities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day site activities and assist with project execution.
- Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors with planning, scheduling, and project coordination.
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, site instructions, and construction documents.
- Track project progress, production quantities, and daily site activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, material deliveries, inspections, and testing requirements.
- Maintain project documentation including daily reports, photos, RFIs, change orders, and project records.
- Assist with procurement, material tracking, and cost control activities.
- Monitor project schedules and provide updates on progress, risks, and delays.
- Facilitate communication between field crews, consultants, clients, and project management teams.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and company policies.
- Attend site meetings and prepare meeting notes as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy civil construction, earthworks, underground servicing, road construction, or related infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, grades, elevations, and site layouts.
- Experience coordinating activities on active construction sites.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general construction documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid G Driver's Licence and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions
- Primarily site-based position.
- Monday to Friday.
- Typical site hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Occasional attendance at the office may be required.
- Travel between project sites within the GTA may be required.
