Position Summary:Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external clients. Greet and assist guests with all requests/inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests at the front desk and complete Check-in/Check-out process ensuring proper billing, postings and information obtained.
- Accurately answer reservation inquiries; adhere to yield management practices.
- Complete shift checklist.
- Handling of cash float.
- Communicate all important information following proper processes.
- Answer internal and external telephone inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Maintain knowledge about property layout, services, group functions and events necessary to perform daily duties.
- Handle all guest requests efficiently with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
- Listen to and act upon guest complaints/concerns by offering solutions and/or options. Advise other departments and involve supervisory staff as needed.
- Administer luggage handling and assistance as needed.
- Drive shuttle in the absence of guest service attendants.
- Provide guest security through effective key control and confidentiality.
- Utilize a variety of computer/electronic systems (e.g. property management, radio and public address system).
- Ensure workspace is clean and stocked at all times.
- All other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.
Specifications/Qualifications
- Front Office or customer service experience required.
- Available to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the Centre, which may include morning, afternoon or evening shifts (seven days a week).
- Must have a positive attitude and passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills, exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Calm, efficient, and organized with great attention to detail.
- Ability to think independently, possess good judgment, proven problem-solving skills and effective decision-making skills.
- Possess a valid G driver’s license with clean abstract.
- Experience working with PMS OPERA Cloud and Delphi.fdc as asset.
Physical Effort
· Extended periods of standing, up to 4 hours.
· Some stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching.
· Extensive use of hands and fingers for manipulation of keyboard and answering the phone, up to 80% of the scheduled time.
