Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Obstetric 2D/3D/4D Ultrasound Technician to join our growing team. This unique role combines elective ultrasound imaging, social media marketing, customer service, and clinic administration. No prior ultrasound experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided through an intensive 2–3 week hands-on training program, including mandatory at-home study. The successful candidate will perform non-diagnostic, abdominal-only 2D, 3D, and 4D ultrasound sessions for expectant families, including early gender determination beginning at 13 weeks gestation. In addition to ultrasound duties, this position plays a key role in promoting the clinic through social media by creating TikToks, Instagram Reels, Facebook content, videos, graphics, and marketing materials using Canva and other social media management platforms. Responsibilities also include responding to emails and client inquiries, scheduling appointments, completing post-ultrasound notes, maintaining patient records, organizing and filing paperwork, assisting with retail sales, managing inventory, and ensuring the clinic remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times. Preference will be given to candidates currently enrolled in or graduated from Nursing, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Office Administration, or other healthcare-related programs. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, a professional and compassionate demeanor, and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform elective obstetric ultrasound examinations using 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging techniques
- Perform early gender determination scans beginning at 13 weeks gestation
- Prepare clients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality images and videos
- Document client information accurately and complete post-ultrasound notes
- Maintain detailed records and ensure proper filing and organization of clinic documentation
- Create and manage social media content including TikToks, Instagram Reels, Facebook posts, stories, and promotional videos
- Design graphics and marketing materials using Canva and other content creation software
- Respond to emails, social media messages, and appointment inquiries
- Assist with appointment scheduling and client communications
- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional customer service and client experiences
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitization, and organization of clinic rooms and equipment
- Assist with retail product sales, displays, and inventory management
- Adhere to all clinic policies, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
- Participate in ongoing training, education, and professional development
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare or medical training is a plus
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with compassion and professionalism
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving technology standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be available Thursday through Sunday
- No prior ultrasound experience required; full training provided
- Preference given to Nursing, Ultrasound, Medical Office Administration, or Healthcare students/graduates
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with expectant families in a professional and compassionate manner
- Experience with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Canva, and social media content creation is considered an asset
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to complete intensive 2–3 week training program and required at-home studying
- Reliable transportation to Welland/Fonthill; availability in Dunnville is an asset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a positive attitude
Compensation
- Starting at $18.00 per hour
- Wage based on experience, education, and performance during training
