Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Permanent Outdoor Light Installer to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting outdoor lighting systems across various residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and electrical work, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in construction-related fields to apply their skills in outdoor lighting installation and restoration projects.
Duties
- Install outdoor lighting systems, including fixtures, wiring, and controls, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, mount, and secure lighting components on various surfaces
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of existing outdoor lighting systems
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to weatherproof installations against environmental elements
- Assist with restoration projects involving outdoor structures or landscapes as needed
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high quality standards
- Follow safety protocols during all phases of installation and maintenance work
Requirements
- Proven experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, or electrical installation projects
- Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to outdoor lighting or construction work
- Ability to read technical schematics and perform precise measurements for installations
- Experience with caulking, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, or construction painting is a plus
- Construction experience with a focus on restoration or landscape lighting preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment or materials as needed
- Valid <PERSON> (or relevant certification/license) is preferred but not mandatory depending on project requirements
