We are currently looking for an experienced Communications Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on field experience in the communications or telecom industry and be comfortable working at heights.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair communication systems including:
- Cellular boosters
- SCADA data radios
- Repeaters
- Access points, switches, and routers
- Troubleshoot and test various telecom and communication equipment
- Climb towers and perform work at heights following all safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Occasionally travel for short overnight trips (minimal)
Qualifications
- Field experience in Communications or Telecom industry (experience will be considered over certifications)
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing towers
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Diploma or degree in a technology-related field is an asset
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
