Role Summary:
Our London Branch is looking for a Level 2 Security Technician (Installation) to join the team. The main job duties and responsibilities of this role is to perform installations on intrusion alarm systems, access control and camera systems. On-call rotation would be expected of the individual. This is an existing vacancy.
Job Responsibilities:
· Installation, networking and programming of CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion systems
· Troubleshoot alarm panels, CCTV systems, and Card Access systems.
· Effectively runs cable and wire, installs devices and complex security systems
· This position requires collaborating with sub-contractors and other technicians.
· Communicates with customer to determine their needs and requirement for the systems prior to installations.
· Conducts testing and commissioning of systems and works closely with the Operations center to ensure proper installation and functioning.
· Training of the end-user.
· Inspection of existing systems and make recommendations for improvement to the system, if needed.
· Responsible for loading software and setting networking requirements for customers.
Job Requirements:
· Post-secondary education/certification/diploma preferably in Electronic Technician Certificate or Computer Networking Courses.
· Minimum of 2+ years of experience in security access control and CCTV installation and service.
· Experience and technical knowledge of security products and standards/codes.
· Strong knowledge of PC-based applications (Microsoft Office Suite, etc)
· Must have a valid Provincial Driver’s License.
