Position Summary
Our Fuel Truck Operators are responsible for the safe, timely, and courteous delivery of fuel to various commercial, agricultural, municipal, and oilfield clients. The role involves operation of a fuel delivery truck, ensuring proper handling of product and adherence to safety standards. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of service and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Operate fuel truck and deliver petroleum products to customers across assigned regions
· Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
· Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
· Load, unload, and transfer fuel using hoses and pumps according to protocol
· Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure delivery schedules are met
· Conduct light maintenance and cleaning of truck and equipment as required
· Adhere to all transportation laws and company safety standards
· Represent Kings Energy Group professionally at all times with courteous customer service
· Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions
· Maintain awareness of, and compliance with, environmental and hazardous materials handling guidelines
· Weekend on call rotation
Skills/Competencies
· Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
· Excellent time management and route planning skills
· Dependable with a strong work ethic and customer service orientation
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Comfortable driving and operating manual transmission vehicles
· Capable of working in extreme working conditions (outdoors, weather)
· Physically capable of lifting & pulling up to 50lb
· Strong understanding of transporting dangerous good requirements
Qualifications Required
· Valid Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement
· Clean drivers abstract
· 3+ years fluid hauling experience
· Experience with manual transmission vehicles
· Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Preferred
· Prior fuel delivery or hazardous materials handling experience is an asset
· First aid, H2S, Common Safety Certification is an asset
· A combination of education and experience may be considered to satisfy the requirements of the role
